Terpsichore's Broken Arm

I feel horrible.  I am such a bad mommy. My little girl feel out of the swing yesterday (that I was pushing) and has broken her arm just above the elbow. We spent all night last night in the ER and she left with a slpint on and an appointment for tomorrow with the Orthopedic Surgeon to put her in her cast. I feel like such a faliure as a mommy. What kind of mommy lets their child fall out of a swing??? I should've been able to catch her. I feel so horrible. Here she is my little gift, and I let her fall out of that swing. She is laying in there having trouble sleeping because of the stupid splint, and the pain, and it's my fault. I hate myself right now.

omg! im sooooooo sorry! youre not a bad mom. things DO happen. i feel like an awful mom because amelia when she was about a year fell off the chair. she bonked her head and got a nasty knot.

 poor baby. i hope shes not in to much pain. we still need to get together for a playdate, but its just been one thing after another for us. amelia doesnt have any health insurance right now so ive been keeping her indoors alot untill i hear something from a company. either way you are not a bad mom at all. you got it taken care of and she will be fine

Jun. 10, 2008 at 1:35 AM Thank you so much!!! We do need to get together. I feel horrible because it's just been one thing after another for us here as well. Terpshichores not sick either, just laid up! She is still in quite a bit of pain, I tell you she is a trouper though. She was playing all day and has managed to be really really good about keeping her sling on, it's like she understands at her very young age that this is helping me. She's such a good girl, and I feel so bad for her, but she is still my little angle, just going strong!

Oct. 23, 2008 at 3:18 AM she has a cute name! don't beat your self up mamma, there is no family anywhere no matter how conscientious that doesn't have some kind of accident that happens with their kids. even when they are right there beside their child. all of my kids have had accidents and some I caused, I got some stories for you!
