At about 3pm yesterday I received some disturbing news from a friend about her 16 year old son being brutally beating and left laying in the street for 3 hours in 98 degree weather, over the weekend. Where, you ask. In an upper class, Russian neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York. I am so infuriated that this behavior continues to exist in full form TODAY. I am raising a Black son who will one day become a Black man. By the grace of God. In teaching my son to be respectful, among many other things, must I also school him on whom he should and should not speak to. You Dam right. This young man asked a white woman, Russian or other wise for the time, and the next thing to happen to him is, he is beating and left for dead. THE SAVAGE BASTARDS!!! Eventually the police and ambulance were called to the scene. THERE WAS NO POLICE REPORT FILED!! WTF!!!! The officer who spoke with the mom was not even the officer who had first come in contact with the young man. Why then would this other office precede to tell the mom that her son was found in a not so affluent neighborhood. The worst of crimes almost always seem to happen in mid to wealthier communities. Yes, there is lots of black on black crime. But how often do you here about black folks beating up white folks and leaving them for dead. If you have heard those stories. You can best believe there was more than a police report filed. How about a community bust. Every black man, child, and woman is lined up searched and ceased.  This mom has contacted the media and this families story has yet to be heard. This is an OUTRAGE! The child was coming from the beach and had to pass through this neighborhood. A warning should be posted about passing through this neighborhood. To all the young and old black folks who dare to enter. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK. DEATH CAN & WILL OCCUR. It is not my intention to single out or play the race card. Anytime violence occurs someone or someones should be held accountable. This story should be heard everywhere! My subject to this post is, While Black in America. What does it mean to be black in America. It mean that others have the right to whopp that ass and how dare you complain about it. America is supposed to be the land of the free. We know this because President Abraham Lincoln emancipated slavery wayyyy back in the day. But still to this day Blacks in America are treated like thrid class citizens. And yes, I pointed out that the young man was passing through a Russian neighborhood. Ok, Russians have their own Freakin country. If you don't like black folks take yo ass back to Russia. Anybody and every-dambody can come over here and get better treatment than black folks. This is an endless subject, but I'm going to stop here. Feel free to post your comments and any suggestions on how this family can and should precede from here.....

Jun. 10, 2008 at 8:28 AM My heart goes out to this boy. I feel bad for all of the racial crime that goes on in this country. You are right, this is America...land of the free? How about land of the not so free? You can do what ever you want here as long as you're white? America is not the best at welcoming everyone, but they are the best at running their mouths.... Black people have just as much right to be here as everybody else. When will it ever be about more than the color of skin in this country? God Bless you and yours..

I so understand you Cordevz, i was still living in New York, when a group of kids beat two men and 2boys who was just lost-ed in Brooklyn,NY when their car broke down, in front of a pizzeria, and when the older&younger men  went to ask if there was a place to call a tow truck they were chased and beat . One of the teenagers ran into the street to get away from the angry mob, however a car struck an killed him today most of those youths have paid society for their part in the crime, however they are free to live  and get it right this time, he's not , nore will their families ever be again, they have to live with the scares that was embarked on them , and with the everlasting sight the last time they saw their brother, friend, uncle, son, laying with his head busted on the side of the highway running scared for his life......when will we ever learn that God created us equally different for the great of all man kind, not kind alone,..In this I pray......will cease, probably never, however I can pray and hope that someday God stop's all of this nonsense...Nye

PS. I 'm praying for this family to try and take it one-day at a time,,time heals all wounds but then  the mind, and memory is another story, ,,,praying for a speedy recovery...

Jun. 15, 2008 at 12:15 AM I am praying for the family. While black in America I am, I know and feel your fustration. I am raising a black son. I am going to have to give him two sets of rules to survive in this country. While others are only studing one playbook. The crazy thing is unless you are black in America you have no clue on what the hell you or these other commenters are talking about.

Jun. 16, 2008 at 6:49 AM dont forget our daughters. we have to teach them out of that special lil "blk" book too. my daughter got suspended for threatenin to beat this lil white boy ass for callin her a nigger. now when i made the call bc she called me b4 the school they tried to leave that factor out but i kindly brought it back into play and took my big blk ass up to that school and laid it down for em. it makes me sad that this sht still exists so we have to teach our children period to carry themselves well and to defend their rights and lives. ppl shake they heads when u say i teach mines to fight back but hell if u aint lived it then u dont know shit so shut the fuck up about it. i dont play the race card either i tell it like it is which to them may seem like playin it but ill tell u 9 out of 10 times its about race and im not talkin about the human race. this world is in my prayers and i know one day somethin gonna give.
