Step-Parent Question (sorry maybe long)

Okay so here is a little history first my husband and I have been together all throughout high school we broke up for a year after high school and he got this girl pregnant. She knows that we are married and when he had to send Child support it was okay to have her number to make sure she got the money.  Well she did and called me and said thank you because DH was in the field (Army thing).And when after she received it she told me if I ever wanted to check on him to call her and she would tell me how he was doing. So I went home for a month while DH was in the field. I asked my MIL and SIL if they seen the baby and they said no not since you and DH picked him up for Christmas. So I called the Baby Mama and said what is the problem we send you child support his family should at least be able to see the baby when he can't since we don't live there right now.This was in May. Well ever since then she changed her number. Just called last week saying to my DH this is our kid I don't want your wife to have anything to do with our son. I don't want her to be with you when you pick him up and when we go to the attorney I want it to be just me and you. So I was mad because this girl is still in love with my DH and I feel that he is my stepson therefore I should be in his life. So what do I do?

Jun. 10, 2008 at 1:43 PM I would explain this to your husband and to her at the same time so there is no misunderstanding between any of you, and you will be spending time with this child and what it to be as comfortable a possible for him. You also need to be there when they go to court to are after all the wife and the step-mom.

Jun. 10, 2008 at 2:25 PM I have explained this to my husband and he just doesn't want to deal with drama and doesn't want the baby mama to say that he can't see his son.
