Why are people afraid of GOD?

I just read a post about a person who does not understand the importance of religion. I am deeply sadden. I will stand by my GOD and what I believe no matter what. GOD is love and Jesus his son is and was LOVE. So I guess you have the fear of being LOVED. People despise GOD because he cares and because they can't see him. Everything you see in the earth is GOD. The planet we live on GOD created. The trees the provide oxygen that only GOD knew how to construct the tree to give off oxygen for us to breathe.

 

I understand now. You fear what you don't understand, because you are too scared to research that which makes since. For the Bible, says "seek and ye shall find."

 

Praise GOD for being a just and honorable Father.

Jun. 11, 2008 at 11:07 AM people fear God because there is none to be feared BUT GOD. he is the master of the universe, the worlds, and the day of judgement. if you believed in that, and that one day you will be called to account for your actions on this earth, you would fear God as well. at the same time as He is merciful and forgiving, He has also made it clear that there are people who are destined to be on the wrong path, and people on the right. for the right , there are gardens with beautiful rivers and fountains, for the wrong is hellfire and pain like no one on earth can fathom. associating partners with GOD almighty is a disasterous mistake. Jesus never told anyone to worship him , and Jesus never claimed to be the son of God. christianity has been molded to fit the rulers of the various ages it has gone through, and the bible has been edited time and time again. how can you believe such nonsense and contradiction? i am FAR from scared to research "what makes since" (i guess you meant sense.. if you have none i guess you cant spell it?) i have done years of research, and i have ended a follower of the one true religion on this earth- ISLAM. may God guide you to the truth.

Jun. 11, 2008 at 12:54 PM Peace Dear sister safi gave great information i wanted to add in islam that we follow the ways that all Prophets since Adam taught us worship one God, give charity out of the money Allah (God) has given to us, and to pray, all prophets declared the same things we have been warned through all of them about this and not one Prophet changed what the other said, Allah (God) had given revelation to all of them from Angel Gabriel (pbuh) and Jesus was not the exception Jesus himself worshipped Allah (God) all the prophets worshipped the same creator God (Allah) he is the almighty the most powerful, the creator of all things and people and messengers, it is blasphemy if one associates any partner with him or anything, as for IhartU as Allah states through all his revelations through Jesus Moses and Mohammad Pbuthemall those who ignore him and do not acknowledge him will soon come to pass their blasphemy.........i have a question if Allah (God) took the breath away from you or any loved one u still wont acknowledge him, you dont feel humble enough to thank him for all he provides to you and the family wow now that would be arrogance and there is a haddith (sayings of prophet Mohammad pbuh) those who even have a gram of arrogance will never see jannah (heaven) i hope the best for all of us. ameen

Its easier for some to believe, harder for others....we can only pray it becomes easier for everyone who is searching, have wandering minds about this God so many turn to, or who may began a search today for God.

You are right. Alot of ppl fear something simply because either they dont believe or they dont care. The bible states that "For this people's hear has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise, they might see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I WOULD HEAL THEM" Acts 28:27

God said that simply because ppl have turned away from their first love...they do not understand him, and they do not care to know him. The enemy (the devourer) comes to destroy them by making them think that he does not exist.  He does exist.. to me he is my everything, he comforts me, and he loves me.. he created everything around me... it hurts me to see ppl so heartless and careless bout the GOD i love and serve.  There may have been a time when a person that didnt believe in GOD heard something to question their unbelief.. but guess what else the bible says.....

" Those along the path are the ones who hear and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts so that they may not believe and be saved"----Luke 8:12

We are living in a time, where ppl would rather hear sound doctrine versus true GOD BREATHED word... Dont be troubled.. they even hated JESUS...Be encouraged my sister..and know THERE IS A PLAN... GOD has it...

 

Remember, one day, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW and EVERY TONGUE SHALL CONFESS THAT HE IS LORD!!!!!

Jun. 22, 2008 at 6:49 PM People fear what they do not understand, what they do not understand they often give the title of "God" to.  So it is NOT the non-believer who is fearful of a god because one does not exist. It is the believer who is fearful and that is the reason for professing their belief!

Jul. 9, 2008 at 12:09 PM Our God is an Awesome God!  I don't have a problem with believing in what they believe in, but you're right, they do miss out if they don't have someone to call a "higher power."
