My husband was adopted at birth. His biological mother was 18 with no job or home. She was living with friends. She decided to give him up. He is now 24 years old. For the last year, he decided that he wanted to meet his mother. He has been searching on the internet, thru his adoption records that he has, and even called the adoption agency. The agency told him that they can't give him any information about his mom till he is 25. I don't understand why, he is an adult. Well he found his mother about 4 months ago. He didnt call right away because he wanted to find the right words to say. He also found out that he has a step sister and found her number. He called his step sister today and found out that his biological mother died 2 years ago. Her appendix burst while she was sleeping and had Hepitias B. My husband is so sad , he wanted to know his mother and meet her. He was so heartbroken. He is going to where his mother lived to meet his step father. They are going to give him alot of pictures of his mother and some home movies, he also found out that his mother has saved stuff that has been passed on from his biological family that is going to him. He was her only child. My poor baby!!!

Oh, I am so very very sorry. I hope he finds healing and even some answers when he goes to visit his step dad.

I am so sorry. Your DH must be heartbroken. My husband had this happen to him with his BD. It was so hard on him. I hope your DH will go and meet his family..maybe they can bring some closure for him by sharing her story and too maybe they can open doors to a family he has never known but who always wanted to meet him? Saying a prayer for him.
