MAC computers?

I am not sure about macs... Can any one help me with learning more about them?  I was told by a tech support that the mac notebook would be good for me... but I am not sure about software... can I do work processing and spreadsheets on them?

Yes, you sure can. We are a "Mac" household. My husband actually works on them for a living so if you ever need any help, just ask. If I can't answer your question, he certainly can. I also have a macbook I use (I'm using it right now) so if you want to come over and play with it, just let me know.
