I got up two times with my daughter with really bad night mares:(

She was screaming crying and shaking. She was looking over her bed and was saying "oh god no Andrew!"  It was like he fell of something.  that really scared me!  It took me a little bit to calm her down.  After rubbing her back and saying soothing words to her she went back to sleep.

I went back to my room and an hour later she was up again with a different night mare:(  I did the same thing again and stayed there for a little bit afterwards.

I am not sure why she has these night mares at such a young age of five.  She has had these since she was two years old.  They have calmed down since the first time she started having them.

She is also a sleep walker.  this past weekend we were setting up for a garage sale at one in the morning.  she went to bed and we got to bed about two.  She got up and was on the move.  I got up and was flipping out because she was heading right for the door.  She said that she thought she was going some place. We put her back to bed.

She shares a room with her oldest sister, watch Noggin and Sprouts before bedtime.  She has a healthy snack as well.

this is very hard on her and me as well.  She is so young yet and I just get baffled about why this happens.

If you have any stories or suggestions please let me know:)  I would love to hear them.

Jun. 11, 2008 at 8:27 AM Just make sure your house is secure. Even if you have to add a lock up higher on the door that she cant' reach. I was and am a sleep walker and talker. I started at a very young age, I am now 26 and still do it on occasion. I don't have any addvice to give just make sure she can't get to anything that can harm her and make sure she can't get outside!
