***Disclaimer:  I could find NOTHING that showed what Sir Elton John's belief system entailed.  So I'm sort of stretching the definition of Pagan/Paganism today, but I thought his quotes were really interesting and wanted to share.  Hope you ladies don't mind!***

I am the most well-known homosexual in the world.
Elton John

I have a lot of money stashed away, but I do live my life from day to day.
Elton John

I think people should be free to engage in any sexual practices they choose; they should draw the line at goats though.
Elton John

I was more ashamed that I couldn't work the washing machine than the fact that I was taking drugs.
Elton John

I'm a very wealthy man.
Elton John

I'm very generous.
Elton John

The whole point of being in this business and being blessed and being successful is that you're able to do things for your friends or your family, which means that they can have something special in their lives, too.
Elton John

"From my point of view I would ban religion completely, even though there are some wonderful things about it. I love the idea of the teachings of Jesus Christ and the beautiful stories about it, which I loved in Sunday school and I collected all the little stickers and put them in my book. But the reality is that organised religion doesn't seem to work. It turns people into hateful lemmings and it's not really compassionate."
- Elton John,

"I think religion has always tried to turn hatred towards gay people. Religion promotes the hatred and spite against gays. But there are so many Christian people I know who are gay and love their religion ..."
- Elton John,
The Observer, November 12, 2006

Sir Elton Hercules John CBE[1] [2] (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight on 25 March 1947) is an English pop/rock singer, composer and pianist.

In his four-decade career, John has been one of the dominant forces in rock and popular music, especially during the 1970s. He has sold more than 250 million albums[citation needed] and over one hundred million singles,[3] making him one of the most successful artists of all time. He has more than 50 Top 40 hits including seven consecutive #1 U.S. albums, 59 Top 40 singles, 16 Top 10, 4 #2 hits, and nine #1 hits. He has won five Grammy awards and one Academy Award. His success has had a profound impact on popular music and has contributed to the continued popularity of the piano in rock and roll. In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked him #49 on their list of the 100 greatest artists of all time.[4]

Some of the characteristics of John's musical talent include an ability to quickly craft melodies for the lyrics of songwriting partner Bernie Taupin, his former rich tenor (now baritone) voice, his classical and gospel-influenced piano, the aggressive orchestral arrangements of Paul Buckmaster among others and the flamboyant fashions, outlandishly excessive eye glasses, and on-stage showmanship, especially evident during the 1970s.

John was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. He has been heavily involved in the fight against AIDS since the late 1980s and was knighted in 1998. He entered into a civil partnership with David Furnish on 21 December 2005 and continues to be a champion for the LGBT social movements. On April 9, 2008 Elton John held a benefit concert for the Hillary Clinton Presidential Campaign, and raised $2.5 million.[5]

I love this one - I was more ashamed that I couldn't work the washing machine than the fact that I was taking drugs.

It's interesting that he made those comments about the church but isn't clear about what he may or may not believe.  Not that it's my biz, anyway.  NIce quotes!

queen...

I know, right?  I can not seem to find anything~ that doesn't mean that the info's not out there, though.  I would guess that growing up where he did he was raised in a fairly religious environment.
