My friend told me that you have to be I think 24 or 25 before you can. She has 2 kids and she's 20 I think. But after this child I'm going to see if they will tie my tubes while they do the c-section. I hope that helps but I'm not exactly sure. That's just what I heard.

Have you looked at ESSURE as an option. This is non invasive and can be done in the office. It might be another option for you, I don't know if there is a certain age for this. Best wishes.

I asked to have my tubes tide, and my doctor told me NO! Granted I was 21 at the time, and it was my first child...but I mean when you know, you know! And I knew I didn't want to have any more children!

I never knew that there was a certain age that you had to be to get your tubes tied. I got mine tied when I had my third child. I was 27 years old. I had a planned C-section and each of my pregnancies got more complicated, so my doc said that I should not have any more children. I was ok with that though. Three was enough for me. :)

When I had my son at 21, I asked and the Dr. told me that I had to be at least 25 or have had 3 children.
