Well, things are going better. Today my ds told me "pee pee toilet" and "poop from back". LOL! I was so happy that he verbalized his needs. Of course as soon as I go to take him to the potty, he runs away laughing like it is a game. He had one accident today, but who cares when he is now learning to tell me what he is feeling. WOO HOOO!
On another note: a boy that I am babysitting who is the same age as DS just doesn't want to train. He will sit on the potty forever and not do anything. He waits until his mom picks him up then he pees in his car seat. I give him water and juice to help him have opportunities to pee, but then he will still not pee in the potty. Instead, he waits until he is dressed and then pees through is clothes. Since he is not my son I don't want him running around naked. I keep him in undies and a shirt to make getting him to the potty easier. I am going to keep trying, but he comes over in the mornings wearing a diaper, so I don't know if he is getting the consistency he needs at home. He wears a diaper from 8pm until I take it off of him at 7:30am. He normally gets to my house at 6am, but is still sleeping. I think I may have to wake him up and put him on the potty right after he gets here. I just hate waking him up if he is sleeping well.

I thought this was a very good read

Good Luck! It's hard when the same things aren't consistent at home as they are during the day

Ahhh, potty training. I've worked at three different daycares, two of which I was the two-year-old teacher and had to deal with potty training and the inconsistent parents. It drove me nuts that they felt as if it were MY job to potty train THEIR children, and wouldn't work with me one bit on it. The children would come to school in diapers and told me to take them to the potty. Whoa, wait a minute? He's wearing a diaper that he KNOWS he can safely pee in and you want me to take him where?? So many kids refuse and want the diaper back on. Ugh.
Anyway, I could write a novel. LOL
