Jun. 13, 2008 at 2:05 PM I was in a group home when i was 13 til i was 15 it sucked but my parents didn't do anything to lose me I lived with my aunt and uncle The system SUCKS!!! They don't Care about our kids All they care about is that money there making its just like jail as long as they are getting paid to have you there they will try to keep you as long as they can and it's bull-shit Now I do believe if a kid is being abused then yea but for mothers that lose there children for no damn reason it's not right just because they feel like the baby will be harmed they need more than that if you ask me

Jun. 13, 2008 at 2:17 PM I actually just saw this where i work with a patient.  The mother knew they were taking her though because we were told to call the cops if certain people came to the hospital to visit because of the flight risk.  All her other kids had been taken away, which leads me to one question---why doesn't the state pay to get these peole fixed so they can't keep having kids?

this is the Handmaid's Tale. The poor being used as incubators for the rich.

that poor mom who had here relatives' kids taken, then her lawyer's, in retaliation. she probably feels horribly guilty about that, even thought it's not her fault.

Why the hell does the state get any more from the feds than what is needed to cover the expenses of the adoption process? who is pocketing the difference? I'd like to get my hands on people who are destroying families for profit. it's reprehensible.

This sickens me.  Times like this make me scared for our country, our rights, our families.  Pure disgust is the only way I can describe it.

Did I hear that right?  That supervisor seriously practically watched a family ORDER children?  Like a transaction?  Pick a family that is struggling, decide you want their kids, and BOOM, it happens?

I want to puke.

Jun. 13, 2008 at 2:48 PM This is sad because i think that there are a lot of mothers who don't deserve their kids. When a system in ONE state is PROVEN to do this, it makes systems everywhere look bad. It isn't perfect, but I think that if someone abuses their children, then they get pregnant, they shouldnt get to keep that baby. No matter what. I think child buse is a sickness- can it trully be cured? Can having a NEW baby make it all better? This particular situation was wrong, but if you want to do something about it, you have to get out and vote- I bet that more than half of the women posting about how unfair things are have no idea who is even running for their own city council- its sad all around.
