This is my dilemma.  I really (REALLY) need to get more of a workout than I have been getting lately.  What is my workout right now?  It is the get-out-of-bed-shower-dry-dress-and-dash-to-work work out.  Anyone else trying that one out?  It doesn't work too well, especially when you have discovered you are quite the little cook and that an 8 to 5 job at a desk is not covering the exercise bases like your former job as a beverage server at a casino did.  I am fully thankful to be in a more positive and uplifting atmosphere, but now I really have to do something about keeping myself in shape and physically uplifted.

I have thought about my choices.  I was thinking about joining a Curves facility.  You get a workout in about a half and hour, and from what I hear, the results are pretty decent.  I also am thinking about a traditional gym.  Back in the day, I used to wake up at 4:30am to get my bum into an old factory that was turned into a gym.  I would engage myself in the treadmills, stair masters, and lift some free weights.  I really liked that gym.  It was a serious gym.  Well, it was serious at 5 in the morning.  I have no idea what it was like later in the day.  It definitely worked, but I am a little concerned because I come from hearty stock and when we lift weights, we gain muscle and we gain it fast!  I do not want to look PUMPED UP!  We have happily paid off all our credit cards, and if there is a time to join a gym it is now.  I just do not know what to do.  If anyone has any recommendations, I welcome them.

I should add that time is very valuable to me.  This is one of the reasons I thought about Curves.  Okay, enough for now.  :)

curves was great for me....except that they don't have a child care option.  Curves works, try it!  You will love it and then, someday maybe you will feel ready for a dif expereince like maybe a gym : )

good luck

So what did you decide to do?

In the summer I work outside.  Easy to do with acreage and 4 kids.  During winter months I get up and head to my local YMCA and work out for an hour.  Then I get my shower there and start my day...
