Okay, because this is my blog and I am going to post my opinion about a few things. If you disagree, tough shit that's your right don't freakin cry to me about it. If I offended you, tough shit. No-one ever gave you the right to walk through life un-offended.

I am going to cover several topics that ALWAYS get peoples blood boiling from one side or the other.

First up! Abortion & Birth Control!

In the Abortion argument, I describe myself as "pro-prevention". If I have to take a side though, I'll choose "pro-life". I think it's a misleading title, but it certainly sticks better with me than the "pro-choice" slogan. I think that if you have to terminate/kill something, it was alive. As people don't start out as chickens, whatever was alive, was a little person. I don't think that the government should be laying down laws about our body, but I don't want to see abortions being made "easier". I'm not saying I want it to be back alley jobs like it used to be! I am pro birth control and prevention! I think more young women need to be educated about their bodies. Not that they're icky and not that they're just sexual objects for men to ogle. I want them to UNDERSTAND themselves!

So, here's my half cracked and still flawed idea. I think that Abortions should be an option for women, BUT, if she is having an abortion for rape, it needs to be reported and the law enforcement should be required to do everything in their power to catch and beat the bastard. The problem with that is proving rape and the number of girls that cry wolf so they won't look awful getting an abortion. If it's for a reason other than rape and a life threatening issue, there needs to be a catch. The state should then pay for a five year birth control method, provided it isn't a health risk for the woman.  I think this would force women to stop and think a little harder before having one done and to consider their other options, like adoption. If they choose to go forward with it, it would reduce the risk of abortion being used as a form of birth control and hopefully overall reduce the number of abortions.

The downsides to my brilliant plan? More women could opt for the abortion so that they wouldn't have to pay the ridiculous prices for birth control. And, even to me, it sounds a bit militaristic and like something that could easily and would easily be abused by those in control of it. Also, a stigma would develop around the whole five year birth control methods. People would assume that whoever had one, even if it was by choice, had had an abortion. And that's not cool.

So like I said, it's half-cracked and flawed, but somthing  has to be done. I'm thinking PROPER education is the best tool. The problem with that is that our current lesson plan regarding sex is "Oh don't do it cause it's not cool." and that is obviously failing. We need to educate young girls and women about natural family planning, about all of their options. That adoption is NOT evil and does not mean you're a failure. That teen pregnancy is not the end of the world for these girls, there is hope.


Second up, The Death Penalty!

Child Molesters and Serial Rapists. There are certain actions for which you forfeit your rights as a human being. Stripping these rights from an innocent is one of them, and that's exactly what these worthless pieces of shits are doing. I believe that certain people can change to a certain extent. These crap-heads are not on that list. There is something wrong with their psyche that makes them think this is OK behaviour, there is no changing that. So yes, I believe they should fry.

The problem, is proof beyond a reasonable doubt. There are hundreds of falsely accused rapists. And there are hundreds that are allowed to walk free. I believe that the guilty should burn, but not at the expense of losing the innocents. This is where it all gets complicated. Even if you have the DNA from an adult woman, proving that there was sexual contact between her and this man (or the other way as sometimes the case is), where is your proof that it wasn't consensual? I'm not saying that all victims should be taken as liars. ALL should be taken seriously and thoroughly investigated. There are SO many things that could go wrong with that.

But, if they ever do perfect a process or land one beyond a reasonable doubt, they should be stripped of their dignity. They forfeited all basic rights and should be sent to their maker for judgment.

And the baby rapists? To hell with frying them. Strip their asses and tie them to the back of a car/carriage. Drag them through town. Then, if they're still living at the end of the day, firing squad. Heartless? Yeah, probably. Do I care? No.

World Peace? Every family will always have it's issues so I don't think we'll ever obtain total peace and harmony. But come on, couldn't we put a little more effort into at-least making sure people arn't STARVING to death? It's 2008 and children are still STARVING. We have phones that can do everything but cook our freaking breakfast for us, AND PEOPLE ARE STILL STARVING. There is something wrong with this picture.


Population Control/Adoption
Yes, children are a blessing. That doesn't mean you need to squeeze how twenty of them. Are you trying to say that only YOUR children are blessings? Of course not. So what's wrong with having eight, calling it good, and adopting the other twelve that you need to fill that empty space? Those children that spend their lives being bounced through the system are every bit a blessing as whatever you manage to pop out. Every child deserves a chance at happiness. Every child deserves someone to love them. If you have such a big heart and the ability to manage so many, adopt. You can still fill that spot in your hearts AND being making the world a little bit brighter at the same time.
