Jun. 14, 2008 at 12:37 PM if you speak to the baby in both languages from birth, both will come naturally to him or her

Jun. 14, 2008 at 12:39 PM Your husband should ONLY speak to the baby in spanish, and you ONLY speak to the baby in english. This is what my family members did to their children, and now they are 4 years old speaking spanish and english.

Jun. 14, 2008 at 12:42 PM I will tell you from my experience, I learned spanish because my parents spoke it to me before I could understand words.... you have to do it constantly just like you speak to your child in english....It will come naturally.

Jun. 14, 2008 at 11:01 PM Hey! Like I saw a few of your other friends say- start NOW! while your baby is in the womb and alternate between both languages THEN it will be natural! Babies are sponges and it's proven to work! Just don't force it - make it fun and they'll enjoy it!! It will be great for the entire family!
