Hey, everyone my name is Rose and I'm new to cafemom.I am the mom of a very energetic,happy,friendly boy named James who is 4.He will be turning 5 in August 2008.I have been married 6 years.We live in Plymouth,MN.I am here at cafemom looking to make friends and hopefully make playdates for James.James loves to play with everyone,and everything lol.I found out a few months ago that James has Autism and we have been learning how to use sign language to help him communicate.James does talk too..He is very outgoing and very friendly.I have been doing homeschooling with him until a few months ago when he started preschool.Now it's summer break,but he will be going to summer school after a four week break.I am still working with him at home,trying to catch up on his communication skills.I did not know much about Autism until recently.Everyone thinks and learns in a different way.James is very happy,healthy and smart boy.He has an incredible memory.He loves to make others happy and laugh.He is good at sharing.He loves to build things and explore.I found out that there are a lot of misconceptions about Autism.Autism does not mean slow thinker or slow moving.James loves to dance and run and sing.I have been researching people that have/had learning "disabilities" like Albert Einstien,Abraham Lincoln,Thomas Edison,Leonardo Da Vinci,Thomas Jefferson.I love meeting new people and making friends,so feel free to send me a message.I have a myspace page with more info and more pictures. www.myspace.com/rw4004
