 be aware watch this most of it is in the water in bottle water and it doesn't show up in the lable.....my kid was several dehydrated because she drank sooo much bottle water and she got dehydrated from the fluoride we found out she could never quench her thirst they thought she had diabetes until we found out NOw we use Distilled not purified just distilled and no problems it was like what wow to me to see her feel better.  we changed toothpaste and floss as well because they had bad effects

I have learned more in the last 5 years about the toxins we give our kids on a day to day basis due to the incomplete labelling on most products then I ever thought there could be. I have begun to use products that I cannot purchase in stores for cleaning and bathing. Did you know that when you take a hot shower you are doing to yourself the same thing the germans did to the jews in concentraitoin camps, the gas chambers was heated chlorine. You are breathing the same thing in ahot shower, just not as high as a concentration as they did in the war.. Sacry how the government has us all fooled .there are other things they can use to "clean" water sources then chlorine and we don't need the flouride.

Jun. 16, 2008 at 10:52 AM my teeth looked like that growing up, and no i didn't outgrow it.  however a little flouride is a good thing, i'll alternate flouridated water and distilled.

Jun. 16, 2008 at 11:24 AM Funny, I used to do weekly flouride swishes in school not to mention drink water fortified with flouride and my teeth have NEVER looked like that, I've never had any cavaties, no odd discoloration, etc. Could it be that improper dental hygiene methods is partially to blame?  When proper methods are followed, including those that involve flouride, then there is little to worry about.

I can also remember being one of the students trying to avoid the fluoride, by pretending to put it in my mouth, but the good nurse who administered it, walked around the room looking into all the cups, didn't let it happen.  I just didn't like the taste.  I had my first cavity at 18, and not another one since.

Jun. 16, 2008 at 1:53 PM I have it mildly.  Mild cases are no big deal.  Some people handle handle different amounts better than others.  And you shouldn't be giving distilled water.  It has no minerals AT ALL in it.  If anything, buy a water filter and just filter your own tap water.

Jun. 16, 2008 at 2:14 PM Thanks for posting this!  Both of my kids have a mild case of flourosis-- my daughter's is worse. but, thakkfully, is not sa vbad as sone I have seen, having worked for dentists and oral surgeons for years. There IS a reason that, when kids and adults are given flouride treatments, they are warned to NOT swallow the swish-and-spit flouride.  And, it is proven here.  Again-  great sources of information.. I appreciate it, even though my kids are grown..

I checked out that link on her comment and in my area they have increase the flouride levels from 0.36 part per million to 1part per million , and Im wondering why increase it that much ?
