An itty bitty story

I've written a couple of fictional stories about a mom and her autistic son, Cooper. You may have already read one of these, "Finding Cooper," which appeared in the back pages of my novel.

A much shorter story, "Alone With Cooper" was reprinted today in SmokeLong Quarterly, an ezine I used to edit.

If a special needs child has touched your life in any way and you have a little time, I hope you'll read the story and the interview that follows. Thanks!

I really enjoyed that story & felt instantly tied to both the mom & Cooper on an emotional level - and the ending was sweet & uplifting!!  I also went & read your interview, as well...I live vicariously, through you, Ellen - lol! - Though I don't do much of anything to pursue a writing career, I have always had a secret fantasy of one day becoming a published writer - not entirely sure what genre, but I am pulled towards words & all the creative ways to use them...including the infamous expletives!!  lol!!  Nice work!!

I can definitely relate. My son is apraxic, not autistic.. but, the experiences are definitely similar.

night...

Loved it! You need to write a book all about Coopers life one day. I will get in line to buy it!
