potty training

ok ladies, trying to potty train here have done it all  He refuses to go, knows when he needs a change but will not tell us before time need more help here please will share all the things we've tried. rewards, praise treats,  just looks at me dumbfounded..school will be starting he will be still in diapers... by the way this is my grandson/ my boys were trained by 2or so. PLease help....

Today the average boy trains at 3 years old. 

The average girl trains by 2 1/2.

What I would do is stop training altogether for at least two weeks. Put him in cloth diapers and rubber pants.  Let him feel the wet and fullness. Plastic diapers don't allow this to happen.  What might happen it will become 'his' idea to stop wetting and being in the bulky cloth diapers.

Jun. 16, 2008 at 12:22 PM i took my son to the bathroom every 30 minutes and made him sit on the potty. pretty soon it became a routine to go to the bathroom and in one week he was completely potty trained and he never even wet the bed. he was 2. i also made him wear real underwear when we were at home so if he did have an accident, he felt it. pull ups are worthless. they are just a big diaper. good luck to you.
