Well today is the kids last day of school.

YES it's stupid to have them go in on a Monday AND only for half a day but.... that's the way it is!

I'm torn between excitement about them being out and sheer panic!

I have things planned in my head for them, the pool is actually almost done being repaired! ( I can't tell you enough how proud I am of my hubby for this! ) Little Man and Princess will be enrolled at a local karate studio Thursday ( only because my dear friend Lorraine doesn't have any more openings) I also have them enrolled in an arts and crafts camp run by the girl scouts for a week starting July 5, as well as many crafty type projects for them to do her at home.  All of that along with day trips I have planned in my head should be more than enough to keep them going...... but..... then there is always the voice of what will happen when they think they are bored???

Saturday I took the kids out of the house - mainly because DH had worked ona service call all night and was sleeping.  Of course I did this after we did some chores ( there is a method to my madness here wait for it!)

We went to the thrift stores and visited some friends who were participating in Knit In Public Day and then IT happened.

First -Princess..." I'm not having any fun I want to go home"

Me "Are you doing any chores while you are here? <she answers no> Good then you are haiving fun! Because if we go home now I will find chores to keep you all busy for the rest of the afternoon!"

Needless to say I didn't hear a peep from her again!

Not 10 minutes later Little Man "Mom I'm bored!"

Me "Really? Because there is sooooooooo much to be doing at home - we have to clean your room then pick up the mess in the basement and oh wait there is always the dog poop in the back yard that needs gotten rid of...."

Him " Never mind I'm good!"

Eldest wisely kept his mouth shut the entire time as he's been through it before!
