I'm very happy for my friend Rich and his partner David. They've been together for years and Rich even took David's last name. Today, they're ceremony is to be the first gay marriage performed at San Jose's City Hall. Why is this such a big deal? Why should people have to work so hard to be married? More importantly, why are there so many small minded people against relationships like their's? At the San Jose Pride Celebration, there were people with megaphones and horrible signs shouting their thoughts (or lack of) to attendees as they entered the event. Why don't these 'people' spend their time and energy and monies on REAL THREATS to their COMMUNITIES?? Gangs, drugs and a terrible economy should be 'targeted'-NOT Same Sex Marriage!!

Congrats to them! Like in my post on this subject, I said that NOONE has a right to tell another HUMAN-BEING who to love. Plus, the religious need to stick to the law..."Seperation Of Church And State".
Congrats to your friends! It's about time we came out of the dark ages.
Just like it was with race and women's rights, it's gonna take time to
come full circle. I'm happy it's this far, though!
It's just one more thing for some narrow minded asshole to bitch about. Yay for your friends! The world is moving forward and everyone needs to catch up.
