How are your Saturday nights different now than they were five years ago?

My Saturday nights 5 years ago I had just had a my daughter. So I was at home every Saturday night with my then husband and two sons and daughter. I had Skyla June 5th so she was still a newborn. I was soo excited!!! Everything seemed to be in place. Now it is crazy. I am divorced and live 45 mintues away from my family. My boyfriend lives with me. Since me and him have been together I have stopped going out in between from when I got divorced 3 years ago and now. Me and my man stay in all the time. My kids are wih there dad eveyr Saturday night. Now I have a job and will be working every Saturday night. Boy things have changed!!

Jun. 18, 2008 at 11:03 AM  Man, Saturday nights for me have a whole new meaning. 5 years ago I had no kids and the job I had then I was off on Sundays, so when I got off at 3:00 on Saturday it was party time! We would go out & stay up all through the night then sleep thru the day when we finally settled down....Now I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old & I work the 12 hour shift on Sat. Sun & Mon. so I sleep as much as I can now on Saturday nights which is never enough & get up at 4am to go to work, so looking back 5 years ago I was a huge slacker with no worries and what seems now as no responsibilities. But as different as it seems I wouln't go back to that lifestyle for anything the life I have now with my family is so much better and worth the loss of my Saturday nights.

Jun. 18, 2008 at 11:14 AM Oh my goodness. Five years i was 16 and had to lie to my "over protective mother" to get out of the house to see my boyfriend. We would party all night long until the sun came up. And now...i am married with three step kids so saturday night is not really any different then monday nights lol.
