How are your Saturday nights different now than they were five years ago?

They aren't too much different. I was alone then and I'm alone now. My hubby was in Iraq in July of 2003. So it was just me and my daughter. Now he's a recruiter and doesn't get home until usuall 10 or 11pm so it's just me and the kids. Lonely then, lonely now......

I can totally relate with you. I am currently going through a divorce from a Navy man. We were married 10.5 yrs and 3 of them were spent recruiting. I too know the lonely then lonely now routine. I want to give you a virtual hug! Military life is very difficult and I hope to God that at least when your DH IS home that he is there for you and your daughter. Mine was a gaming addict..still is, reason for the divorce. It was bad enough that he was/is gone all the time from us...he was GONE when he was home too. Sad sad sad!
