So yah... ok I suppose I should start from the beginning for the few who don't know what's been up the past few months. My dads reg doc noticed his ekg was abnormal and told him he should see a cardiologist so he does. Cardiologist runs all sorts of lovely tests. Says lower portion of heart looks like it's working a little slow but doesn't see anything wrong in ultrasounds or anything. Tells him he suggest an angiogram as a precaution but only cuz he has all the risk factors. dad proceeds to repaint the house while waiting. ... stupid... feels nothign can be wrong since he had no problems working on the house, thinks about not doing angiogram. doc sets it up, gets pushed back twice. dad says one mroe time and screw it. Angiogram today. supposed to take at most an hour   before it's done or someone will tlak to me. and hour an 40 min later i go up to nurses and go ok wha the hell? am told they're waiting on a doc to come in from another hospital to place a stint as they found some blockage.. 90 % or so. should be done in about an hour if no complications. two hours later they come call me back.. turns out one artery 100% blocked the other 80-90% blocked. almost couldn't get the stint in the one and right when they were baout to say fuck it open up and do bypass they got it in. on top of all this i had needed some vic since about 830 am... 20 min after they rolled him back and i didn't wanna leave till i knew he was ok. shook me up pretty good, dad is almost never sick. and i had to help him eat after surgery cuz he couln't mofe anything but his arms for 6 hours after. i'm at home now... got here about 230  pm to give vey a nap and take my vicadin which has obviously kicked in... ~looks back across the blog~ yah, obviously but i don't care about redoing it cuz i'm tired as shit only got like two hours last night cuz of stupuid insomnia and i'm still sore and shaken and crap. but doc says everything looks pretty good now, keeping him overnight for observation. did i mention he tried to roll onto his side before he ever even got to hsi room which cause a hematoma.. a leak where they inserted the wire in his leg, and so they ahd to pressurize his leg cuz of super blood thinners.. stupid once again... fraking stubborn ppl. i told him not to! does he listen? nooooooooo.... bleck to the world.

Jun. 19, 2008 at 5:46 PM I  am glad to hear that at least he did get the test done and they were able to place the stent before something really big happened.
