The biggest leap of faith I have had to take recently is allowing my husband to go to Iraq and have faith he would be ok. He is a civilian contracter but the reasons he went was because it was his chance to do something. He was in the Army for many years and had to get out after 11 years, He tried to go back but because of some physical reasons the Amry wouldnt let him back in and no other armed forces would take him he tried them all, Then a company approached him and wanted him to teach soldiers in Iraq. He jumped at the chance. I couldnt deny him going, because then the question "what if?" would always be over our heads. I had to let him go, but I will tell ya It was a tough decision. I still wonder if I did the right thing. The only way I know I did right allowing him to go is when he calls and is all excited about graduating another group of soldiers. He talks to them daily and is so proud of each and every soldier in Iraq and wants to do whatever he can to make thier life better, then I know I did the right thing.

He teaches not only how to operate the new MRAP  (bomb proof vehicles)  but as he says he teaches them something that maybe a few of them can come back home and use thier knowledge to make a living. Rick has always been a good teacher and loves to work with young men and help them to succeed.

Rick is a ASE certified Master deisel mechanic, he calls himself a technecian, and he is one of the best you can ask anyone who knows him. But he loves shareing his knowledge.

When he told me he wanted to go to Iraq I knew I couldnt say no and I began to pray that God would keep him save and bring him back to me. I knew somewhat what to expect i had a son who was in Iraq for a year, Both are hard to live with , to go on like everything is normal. But you pray for the day they come home in one peice...That is my faith!!!
