Well ladies...anyone who has been through this already...feel free to lend some advice.  I have been told that I have to have a hysterectomy.  I am glad because I have so many problems...endometric polyps, and fibroids, but then there is the part of me that is scared...mainly because I just don't know what to expect!

Jun. 21, 2008 at 9:25 AM While I havent had to yet, most of the women in my family have had one,  They all say once you heal which is painful, and get over the hot flashes that it is the best decision they ever made. Hope all goes well for you!

Jun. 21, 2008 at 9:29 AM I had my hysterectomy 5 years ago and it was the most awesome thing ever. They went in vaginally, no scar, no stitches and I was back to my normal self in 3 days! I have never felt so good. After all the crap leading to the hysterectomy, I was thrilled. No more periods, pain, excesssive bleeding. I highly recommend it. Thanks Girls!  I'm excited to be getting rid of all the problems that I have leading up to this surgery...I'll keep everyone posted, I go for my final consult with the surgeon tomorrow!
