WLJ - Jun. 24 update

Happy Tuesday everyone!

AF came yesterday, which of course throws off the whole scale reading, but it happens.  3 days late, but here nonetheless, and I'll take it!  Sunday I weighed in at 199 again!  Add the water weight that's likely there, and I'm guessing it's more like 197.  We'll see next week.

Last night after dinner - corn on the cob, chicken leg/thigh w/ BBQ sauce, and potatoes, all grilled - I took the kids to a nearby playground.  We'd never been there but I love it!  It's kinda small but really perfect otherwise.  There's even a little "Kid's Creek" (per the sign) that kids can play in - only a few inches deep and maybe a foot wide.  And a community garden!  But the sign says "please don't pick the vegetables!"  :-)   Only for contributors, I suppose, which is totally fair.  Anyway we stayed for about 30 minutes - JT needed to use the restroom, and there were none at this park.  Once we got home, I decided to take a bike ride.  Very short, really, but I went the "hard" way.  Up the small hill early in the ride, and then around a few streets, so probably only about a mile.  I did work up a sweat, and my thighs aren't sore today, so it was just right for my first ride this year.  I'm getting a new bike before we visit Mom's!  I'll be taking my current bike to live at Mom's so I have one to ride when we're there.   I can't wait to get the new one!  I test-rode it around the store's parking lot and it was awesome.  Nice and solid, plus it has an attached basket and under-seat rack for carrying things (like groceries!!).  I'll just need a milk carton or something to strap onto it.  I'm so glad that where we live right now, there are stores of every kind within walking distance - so taking the bike is easy!  Even our favorite local tea/coffee shop isn't far on the bike!

So, back to the weight loss update.... LOL  got sidetracked there!  DH is on days this week, and the kids are still sleeping very late (it's almost 11 a.m. and neither child has stirred) so I have time in the mornings to do the Masala Bhangra dance workout.  It's so much fun too, which makes everything better for me!   (There are youtube links on that site - go into "press room" and there's a link just under her picture.)  Honestly though, I didn't do it today.  After DH left for work, I went back to sleep until 9:30, and I've been reading and talking to friends online since then.  But I have yardwork to do today, and it's not supposed to be humid, so we can be outside for while.  Maybe I can run laps around the yard...... LOL maybe not!  But I might take the boy up on his standing offer of a race from one end to the other!  I'll find something to do.... all movement counts in my book, even if it's just a little today.

I hear my girl waking up, or talking in her sleep.  Time to get her up anyway.  With AF here, I want to do nothing but sew (and there's a lot of that that needs to be DONE) - but I have to make the bed first, then put the contents of the sewing table on the bed just to have room to sew, plus doing laundry and trying to not trip the breaker (hate this old house), and then finish and clean it up before dinner time.  Hmm, that may have to wait one more day!
