To those who think my paycheck isn't enough

Okay people, and you know who you are, the word JOB does not stand for "Just Out of Boredom"!  It means to get that paycheck that you all seem to crave I have to WORK.

Just in case you were wondering I cannot do that when you constantly interrupt me wanting a hug, or a kiss (for Pete's sake your 40!) or you want to know if we are doing anything today.  Want to know if its raining? We have these things called windows and they are wonderful for checking just that.  Its truly an amazing technology.  How warm is the pool you wonder, there is a floating ducky in there that tells you just that, he's very nice and will not bite I promise.

Do not text or IM me from the other room to ask if I am busy.  Do not come in at noon and ask me what's for dinner.....wait a few hours, if your lucky you'll find out when it hits the table.  Wondering where you left your cell phone so you can text me from the other room.  Do not come in my office to get my cell phone to call your cell phone so you can text me, get the home phone and call your phone.  Better yet, just wait, see if it comes back all by itself.  I'm sure it didn't wander far and will return shortly.  The cable is out you say, can you not notice the steam coming out of my ears because I just lost the document I was working on (this is the point you run and run fast by the way).

And please, do not come in my office and sit there with puppy dog eyes waiting for me to acknowledge you, then stomp off when I don't because, once again, I'm working!

I promise I will eventually come out of my hole and into the world once again.  And when you want to go shopping, or want that neat paintball gun with which you will get paint everywhere and have to die anyway, or that expensive tool that you will use once in a decade but just have to have.  I just might be nice and acquire those things for you.  If you leave me alone.

If you do not leave me alone, I can no longer guarantee that no harm will come to you and I will go to my grave with the secret of where I hid your body, and I will have that paycheck, much larger now, all to myself!!!

But, just remember the most important point of all, I love you with all my heart and soul and will be here anytime you need me, just not when my office door is closed!
