STUFF!! Oh man, the stuff that we accumulate through out the years. Both sets of parents(minus my dad who died in 1991)are in ther mid-80's & are talking about retirement homes. Talk about downsizing. EEK!! So...they are in the midst of de-cluttering and asking the children(us)what furniture or whatver that we would like. Mind you, it takes about 2 yrs. after putting your name on a waiting list to get into an apartment that you would REALLY like. How did they get all this stuff? Having kids will do it to you. That's for sure. In the beginning, it's just you and hubby. Purchase house. Purchase furnishing for new house or new dwelling. Then get pregnant. And the stuff cycle starts all over. Furniture for the new baby. Clothes for the new baby. Toys for the new baby. See where I'm going with this???? Stuff, I tell you. Add more babies, add more STUFF!! After a few years, they go to school. STUFF comes home. I don't know about your schools,  but they(gotta love those elementary schools)LOVE to send notes home. On regular size paper. OMG!! When you have 3-4 kids in elementary school, that's a lot of paper.(I would recycle them & make lists on them.)And then report cards & all the drawings they make for you. Sentimental things that we just can't part with. I tell ya, it's all stuff. Into sports? Gotta get equipment for that. Scouts? more stuff. Then, as the kids get older(I've got 3 in college), you start to de-clutter. But, it's hard to throw things of sentimental value away. MY in-laws have lived in the same house for 35+ years. They've been known to keep their kids' lunch boxes since their elementary years. OMG!! I think that I would've thrown those out years ago. Or donated them.  I am trying to be good at de-cluttering so I don't have all that STUFF to go through.

You might have them check with antique shops and see how much those lunch boxes are worth...or go on ebay.  They're probably worth more to someone on there that collects those.

Clutter is a big problem for me....I should go to Clutterer's Anonymous..seriously. LOL
