I do know if there is a phrase inthe Bible like that but it sounds about right. After all the HELL this week with the med change. Talked to the Dr. I guess expecting a fight but not sure, told her yea I know the Daytrana patch could itch but my gut was telling me that was from the heat and even with it itching it STILL worked better than the RItalin and that please, I wanted to put him back on that, if for nothing else at LEAST untill our vacation and THEN if we still wanted to try something else we would. SHe said Thats no problem go ahead! I was like "THANK GOD!"
Then last evening we go to Bryan's karakte. He is testing for his yellow belt. He is so worried that he cant do it he is already negative talking, was doing it all night long. Here I am thinking. " I think he will get it but what if he cant keep it together during the test" The instructors know about his condition. They tested him for 45 minutes. His drills, kicks, punches, blocks, falls, self defense and sparring. Well my son... this child who some look at as a "weird child", and a " child who has smething wrong with him" a " child who has special needs" a " child who was admitted to a mental hospital before"............ worked him butt off and stayed as focused as he could.
HE GOT HIS YELLOW BELT!!!!!!
OMG I was in tears!!!!! Listening to his instructor tell him how yea, he still needed some practive on one of his drills but his kicks and punches had pwoer and speed and most of all CONTROL!!! CONTROL, this child who some look at as being out of control, showed the best control of a chils his age and that that was the most important thing he saw.
My son showed power and control!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A child with Asperger's syndrome and ADHD showed POWER AND CONTROL!!!!
Yes, he did... and I know in my heart he will with everything that comes up against him in life!!!!
I am so proud of my little boy!!!!
