Last nights investigation was again in Laurelville, Ohio at a soon to be, in the future B&B, that once was a nursing home. I think this was about our 9th visit.
One of the reasons we went last night was cause we have a new member who's never been on a ghost investigation other than the one we went on last week and its a good place to get experience.
It was as pretty humid night and inside the house and building it was equally as humid. All that humidity makes you think of all the theories to temps and conditions that make it right to ghost hunt. Some believe colder weather is the best some think hot and humid is.
Truth is, even tho I do make note of the weather and the conditions inside and outside while investigating I've really found no one condition that indicates its better for a ghost hunt. Besides if ghosts are someplace where heat or cold isn't felt what do they care if were sitting in a dusty hallway getting all sweaty?
So, were all in the kitchen area opening our cases and getting out equipment to set up and we hear this knock on the door. That's kind of unusual since the owner gave us a key almost a year ago, knew we were down there and she never comes there at night. She doesn't like it there at night....go figure..wonder why?
And there at the door stands this guy...we don't know who he is but he claims to be very good friends with the owner and knows she has been allowing some 'ghost hunters" to come down there but she never contacted him and let him know we were coming since she asked him some while back to keep an eye on the place when she wasn't around.
Hmmm...and we care about this why? But we were nice and gave him the answers he seeked and sent him on his merry way....or so we thought.
As the night went on and the thermometer climbed this guy kept coming back, driving by...stopping by. I don't know, maybe he was curious...who knows, but he was annoying as hell.
Do you know how hard it is to do an EVP session when some strange guy keeps knocking on the door wanting to know what your doing or driving by and...
" I'm back to just check on you guys, everything ok?"
Umm yeah were fine....geez
Well, we did get some alone time through all this...much evidence to go through yet.
All and all it was a pretty quiet night, from a ghost hunters prospective. If the spirits were around they were busy doing something else cause they weren't much up to knocking on walls, closing doors or creating cold spots around my ankles.
I did capture something last night though.... a bad case of frustration and a heat rash.
Keep on huntin...
