Recently a mom on here ask me why Muslims were not speaking out about the radical Muslims who do harm in the name of Islam, a dear Muslim friend of mine had this in one of her post.

When people ask "Why don't Muslims speak out against terrorism", the answer is: They do." For whatever reason, our Western media isn't doing a very good job at covering it. Below are links to (at minimum) several hundred Muslim political and religious leaders speaking out against and condemning terrorism.

Jun. 29, 2008 at 1:55 AM Its true, there are muslims risking their lives to speak out on this issue, the very same muslims who are sometimes mocked, insulted, looked down upon by the weatern media, Just recently the saudis released information about islamic militancy and the fact they had caught a group whos assignment was to assasinate certain members of our Ulama who are speaking out against them. The very same ulama that get such bad western press, Do you think this is going to get a full page spread in the western media, Precisely NO. Will they get a thankyou no, just because they have views on other things that the journalists don't like. I suppose thats not too suprising in the age of bush when you are either with us or against us mentality, whatever happened to the sweet reasonablness of the middle ground were inteligent people can interact without it disintigrating into a pie fight. oh I forgot Bush won an election and the hawks at the pentagon got to play a little  at war gaming, I wish some one had introduced them to some virtuality reality war game, so they could have satisfied their need to regime change, nation build, and give those pesky sneeky uncivilisedmuslims  a kick up the @#% and teach em A lesson they won't forget in the virtual world, The reality is they have messed up big time and are in damage control. Sometimes I recall life before this sad state of affairs and feel nostalgic for the days when, it was only drunks, facists, and zionists the muslims take outragously riduculous insults from, now its the mainstream media, and a large number of average americans who if they took the time to read and think about the facts should know better, Oh well thats my rant, and I just happen to be an optimist , so I live in hope of one day the muslims being treated with the justice they deserve instead of this  stupid witch-hunt

These are great links and your messege is important.  People should not judge a whole group on the actions of misguided fools.

Even if there wasn't so much condemnation, that does not imply a communal guilt.  It is sad that many people  feel that there is a corolation.

 Keep spreading your messege!

My boss (and very good friend) is married to an Eygyptian man who is Muslim.  He is a wonderful, caring, fun-loving man who is just as appalled at the terrible things that happen as we are.    He is a Sunni Muslim who worked with the American Army as a translator in Iraq.  He is just as interested in finding peace as we are.  Getting to know him has allowed me to be more open-minded about Islam.

Yes, Muslims are FREQUENTLY speaking out against Terrorism.  Muslims have done so for years, before 911 and after.  Unfortunately, our propaganda media relays as little of these press releases, speeches, and articles as possible.

Why? Because right now the Bush administration & the neo-cons (which includes many democrats) want to demonize Muslims in order to continue invading & attacking Muslim countries.  The more negative press, the more the (ignorant) masses will believe the propaganda.
