OK, so most of you know by now that my dad got married this weekend to a wonderful woman named Joyce.  My daughter was the flower girl.  Anyhoo, I was in the back keeping her there until it was her turn to go.  The plan was to get her going and then run like mad to the other door and sneak into the auditorium.  Well, I let her start to walk down the aisle, when my son (he's 5) comes running up to me and then realizes that Sissy is walking back in so he tries to follow her.  I end up having to trip him while trying to tackle him and dragged him back through the door, just in time to let Joyce and her grandson go down the aisle.  Soooo....first I missed my daughter being the flower girl.

THEN, when I finally was able to sneak my son and me into the seats reserved for us in the FRONT ROW, my son decides to have a MASSIVE temper tantrum...I mean the yelling, kicking, screaming, howling temper tantrum because HE wants to go stand next to PopPop.  I ended up having to drag him BACK OUT of there to try and calm him down.  By the time he was calmed down enough to re-enter the room...it was OVER!!!

So, basically, thanks to my son's wild behavior...I missed my father's wedding.  Entirely!!!  My husband was in charge of the video camera, which was why he couldn't take my son out of there.

I am SO FREAKING BUMMED OUT!!!  It was a beautiful ceremony and my daughter did great...so I'm told...

That's aweful....I'm sorry you missed everything. Will you at least get to watch the video? I know it's not like being there and I know how much you were looking forward to it. I'm thinking I'll bring duct tape and tranquilizers when I go to the wedding in August and the one in September!

Well, when he didn't really ask to go stand next to Pop Pop...he kind of just took off running for the stage, so I'm assuming that's what he wanted.  But we've been having behavioral mishaps with him and for all I know, he could have wanted to eat the communion.  So that's really why I stopped him, because I didn't really know why he was going up there.  But as soon as I went to stop him is when the temper tantrum hit.

Anyhoo, I will at least get to watch the video, so I'm hoping that will make me feel better.
