Okay so my son, age 2, has this welted up rash. It started a couple days ago. He went outside (WITHOUT SUNSCREEN grr....) and got red shoulders and cheeks. The next day we were having a family bbq and I knew I wasn't going to be able to keep him out of the sun so I made sure to put a ton of sunscreen on him throughout the day and keep him inside as much as I could. It was the hottest day of the year so far and no AC so I didn't want to be cruel. I ended up letting him go in the pool too.
Well that night the pinkish part turned into what I thought was a heat rash, which I get often myself. Then the next day it was not only on his arms but his legs as well. He does have sensitive skin and did get welts once before but they looked nothing like this. When I took him to the doctor they could figure out what he caused it but he probably just came into contact with something.
Have any of you ladies seen a rash like this before? I just don't know if it is an allergic reaction to something (sunscreen, something in the pool, etc) a heat rash, or something else. Any advice would be great. Seeing that I can't get into the doctor today.
Thanks!

Comments:
Thanks ladies. He doesn't seemed bothered by it and it isn't like it has spread to anyone else in the family so I just didn't know. I'll try some benedryl and see how that goes. THANKS SO MUCH!!! :)
Infants encounter the rash on their head, neck, shoulders, chest, back, and in some cases – their armpits and groin. this problem occur due to their developing sweat glands which fail to transport sebum or natural oil to the skin's surface. Apply Aloe Vera gel or Calamine Lotion to cure this Heat Rash. You can also try adding baking soda in bathing water, you can place sliced cucumbers to the affected area to relieve itching and discomfort. If you have any rashes prefer to keep in dry by dusting anti bacterial powder.
