VACCINATIONS - IT'S YOUR CHOICE!

I am a selective and delayed Vaccinating mother. I believe that their is evidence to show that such vaccines as MMR, polio, Dephtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis have far more benefits than they do risk, especially if they are given on a delayed vacinating schedule. But there are two particular vaccines that I am highly against at this point in time is Vericella(Chicken Pox-vaccine) and Influencia(Flu-vaccine).  

Almost all of us has encountered Chicken Pox as a child. I myself encountered chicken pox, and the measles at the same time. With lots of calamine, electrolytes, and some mittens and occasionally some antibiotics well over 99% of us were able to get over it in three weeks or less. In children over the age of 10 the very first symptoms are headache, fever and malaise. Younger children usually DON'T have these symptoms. But in adults, the symptoms are generally worse. That is why it is important to contract this disease before the age of 10, since infection with the varicella-zoster virus is believed to create a lifetime immunity to chickenpox. Nursing babies often aren't susceptible to chickenpox -- if their mother had the illness as a child, she will pass antibodies, through the placenta in pregnancy and additional ones via her milk which confer a high degree immunity (over 98%). About 24-36 hours after the first symptoms begin, the characteristic rash appears. The Merck manual then states, "Children usually recover from chickenpox without problems. However, the infection may be severe or even fatal in adults and especially in people with an impaired immune system."

The Varcella vaccine is only documented at 75% effectiveness. And that immunity grows weaker as the child becomes an adult. Which is when the illness is much more dangerous. This vaccine like most others also contains small amounts of thimerosal (mercury), which is the prime suspect for the development of Autism.

As for my reasoning against Influencia(Flu-vaccine). I believe the second video says all that needs to be said.

Now there is a waiver that anyone choosing not to vacinate can sign.  Stating that it is for religious reasons.  This will allow your child to go to any public school and/or collage.  NO ONE CAN FORCE YOU TO VACINATE YOUR CHILD!  That would be a dirrect violation of your federal rights.  I, myself will be homeschooling my child(ren).  Though this is just one of the many reasons I have made that decision. 

No vaccinations until a child is two years old.

1. No vaccines that contain thimerosal (mercury).
2. No live virus vaccines (except for smallpox, should it recur).
3. These vaccines, to be given one at a time, every six months, beginning at age 2:
1. Pertussis (acellular, not whole cell)
2. Diphtheria
3. Tetanus
4. Polio (the Salk vaccine, cultured in human cells)

Jul. 1, 2008 at 4:35 PM I am soooo confused and scared about the chicken pox thing... My dad insists I had them, my mom says I didn't (they don't get along and disagree about EVERYTHING). So now I don't know if I had them as a kid or not. I don't want to get them as an adult, that's for sure, so what am I supposed to do? Avoid my kid when he gets them? Ugh...

Jul. 3, 2008 at 5:05 PM I am actually against MMR.  I don't think the risk of these once common childhood illnesses is worth the vaccination.  Measells, Mumps, and Ruebella used to be like the Chicken Pox.  I will delay all shots until after 2 and then there will be no need for Pertussis.  However, I do think that if a mother is unable to breastfeed that it should be given.

My Hubby an I are against the Whole Vacc.thing,but some of our kids have had them,unfortuanately.If I would have listened to my Hubby and not everyone else they would be Vacc.free right now,but being the over protective mom I am I thought that it was best.I was wrong and now I know.As for other Moms it's ofcourse your choice but I suggest you doing some Research on it first,That goes for anything.... We have the right to know what is going into our babies!!!!!!!!!
