I've been thinking a lot lately about how self consumed I've gotten.  I'm not a selfish person, but things have been more difficult for us financially lately (I know we're not alone) and so I found myself constantly trying to keep the status quo that we had established.  Well, that status quo is well above what a lot of people are able to do and suddenly I realize how materialistic we've become!!!  So, I've had an "A-HA" moment...I need to be doing more for others and less for myself.  What would the world be like If we all did this?  I got on a website...www.randomkindacts.com  and ordered these business cards they have for free.  So yesteday I went through McDonald's paid for my bill and the one behind me and asked the cashier to give the lady one of the cards.  It felt so good to do that.  I have no idea what the situation of person behind me is and it doesn't matter...Everyone needs a little kindness in their lives...I challenge each of you to go to the website and get your own cards and pass around a little kindness.  It sure made me feel good and I'm sure the lady behind me was happy to save her $12!  Who knows, maybe she'll pass the card on and a little kindness herself.........
