This morning I made the recipe I posted, "Cap'n Crunch French Toast.
I saw this made on the Food Network show, "Diners, Dives, and Drive-Ins".
I went searching on the Internet for a recipe similar and found one.
Well this morning I made it, but with a twist.
I bought a box of "Tigger & Pooh corn puffs" because it was on sale for one dollar!
And I bought a bag of the "Malt o' Meal Frosted Flakes".
Followed my directions and ...
My family went crazy!
And my oldest daughter who has a sweet tooth like her Mom didn't even use syrup, she said it was sweet enough!
My youngest said they tasted like doughnuts.
Both were good but the Frosted Flakes version was GREAT!!!
The crunchiness of the flakes gave it such a wonderful flavor!
It was a nice change.
My husband said; "This is not French toast, this is American Toast!
I've posted the recipe in a few recipe/cooking groups.
If You and Your family are game? Try it!
P.S. The one on the left is the Frosted Flakes version and the right is the Tigger version.
Not a very good picture I know but, it does give Some kind of visual.
