Busy and Blessed!

Good morning, CafeMom!

How is everyone feeling?  Can’t speak for anyone else, but I am feeling very busy and very blessed lately!  Wanna hear about it?  Hope you said yes, because I have a lot to say!!  If you said no, well, then you might want to stop reading right now!!

First, the one part of my life that has me feeling more busy than blessed has to do with kids.  I have my three sons, ages 7, 4, and 1, with me all day long during summer vacation from school.  That part is not so bad.  I love my kids, and I like having the opportunity to be with them rather than having to send them off to a sitter.  When it is just the four of us here, life is good.  But it is very seldom that it is only the four of us.  My sister asked me to watch her four kids, ages 11, 9, 4, and 2, for the summer.  Why oh why did I say yes?  I mean, I love my nieces and nephews, but seven kids against one adult is not always good for that adult’s sanity!  Not that I have ever been considered sane….

In May, I was elected director of the Ladies of Faith, the local chapter of Wesleyan Women at my church.  I am VERY excited about this!  That is where busy and blessed come in.  I am busy planning events that the ladies can do throughout the coming year, and I am blessed to be in a position to reach others in our community for Christ.  There are a couple of ministries that we are looking into participating in during the coming year.  We are looking at starting a MOPS program, becoming a host site for the Angel Food Program, and participating in Heifer International.  If anyone here has any experience in any of these areas, I’d love to hear it!

Oh my.  The kids are fighting.  Better go check on them before there is bloodshed!  Hope to hear from you soon.

Newbo...
Hey, hey! I can't believe you're watching that many kids; good luck! I barely stayed sane during the newborn months, you're running a daycare. LOL. I think it rocks that you're involved in other activities, especially religion, religion keeps me above water on most days. I'd love to hear more about what you're working on because I don't know much about that stuff. Either way, you're doing a great job taking on so many kids and being active in activities. Keep at it. :o) TTYL
