Olympic Themed First Birthday!

We are celebrating MJ's birthday a week early on Aug 9. I love the Olympics and since opening ceremonies are the night before, I thought that would be a great party theme!  It's a poolside party, with "swimming" as the main event and some other kid friendly games on the side. My neice is making us "Olympic Ring" garland (she's 6, think Christmas construction paper garland) and we will do a lot with primary colors. We'll do Olympic themed goodie bags and have Olympic tiki torches around Olympic Village (aka, the pool pavillion!).  I'm completely stuck on what kind of invitation wording I should do and what should go in the goodie bags. Any mommies out there have ideas?
