Ok, so in this crazy move to Montana, finding a place to lease for the two years before we build our own home has been a hassle. Keep in mind, the biggest town in the area where Scott will be working has a whopping 2000 people in it. There is not a whole lot to rent, especially something that will be big enough for our family.
So, imagine my delight when I came across this lovely property listed for rent…

It’s a 2200 sf custom log cabin, set smack dab in the middle of a 450 acre working ranch. This, friends, is my idea of HEAVEN. The rent is about what we would be paying for a 3 bedroom apartment in town, so the price is right!
We’ll be there the first part of September, and I can’t wait to soak in the jacuzzi tub upstairs and watch the mountains… I think that is just what the doctor ordered for stress relief!

Here is the living room. (The furniture is NOT ours, and won’t be part of the house)

Stairs leading up to the master bedroom/office suite.

View looking from the master bedroom loft at the creek, rolling pasture, and Beartooth Mountains in the distance.

Front yard, with Cottonwood trees overlooking the year round mountain creek.

From the front yard, Beartooth Mountains in the background.
Our family is looking forward to this adventure. Nothing like moving from a major suburban area to a town with a population of SEVENTY-EIGHT. Yes, less than 100 people in the entire town.
Yay!
