Just a reminder - this ends in a couple of days - July 15

Hello Everyone!

This is a fundraiser being held for my daughter, Gabby. Gabby had a heart transplant last year at the age of 2 years old. She had heart failure after being diagosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy. Gabby is just a little over a year post transplant now and is doing great  - she is truly our miracle. We perioically hold fundraisers for her medical funds through National Charity Organization - Childrens Organ Transplant Association. You can check them out at www.cota.org. You can also read about Gabby's journey at her website www.aheartforgabbyr ose.com and look under the journals tab  - I basically kept a diary of everything happening while she was going through this. I am telling you all these things for obvious reasons - with the recent unfortunate evets with scammers in our groups I  know it is hard to tell if something is legit. This one is. Why do we still hold fundraisers even though she has already been transplanted? I feel the need to answer this question so everyone know why there is a need. Gabby will continue to be in need of medical care for the rest of her life. We travel to Houston from Dallas every 3 months for her clinic visits and cath lab biopsies - they do these every 6 months to make sure her body is not rejecting her heart. So far we have been very lucky. Rejection can happen at any time. Unfortunately, until science catches up (which it is amazing what all they are doing) most children her age end up needing a 2nd or 3rd transplant in their lifetime. We do have insurance, but her lifetime max is very close to being maxed out. This is why we keep this fund going. I just want to be clear. The commssions raised on this party are all being donated to her fund. The free books are being donated to the libraby at Texas Childrens Hospital, where she was given her new heart. Usborne Books are awesome childrens books! This is a great opportunity to help a cause and get some great books for your children or grandchildren.
Thank you all for your support!
