darn earwigs

anyone have any idea how to get rid of them and keep them gone. For some reason we have them everywhere. it was just in the basement but now everytime i turn around they are on the floor or on one of the kids' toys. My son just this morning was trying to pick one up ughhh. hes 9 months today btw. We sprayed this bug sprayed that we have used for the third summer this year and it was great till recently. those little buggers are soo annoying and i dunno if they bite or sting but i dont wanna find out. Anyone have any  suggestions?

Jul. 15, 2008 at 7:43 AM go to your local hardware store or store that sells fertilizers, etc.  and talk to someone there about how to rid your home of them.   Thats what I do when I have pesky problems.

Jul. 15, 2008 at 7:49 AM Ugh i hate those ugly little creatures. We lived in a townhouse a few years ago that was overrun with them. they love cool damp locations which explains why they comef rom the basement, then they lay tiny little black eggs everywhere, yuck... There is a bug spray you can get from Wal mart in a gallon jug that you spray around baseboards and walls where they come in, it kills eggs and the adults. I think it is called home defense and is GOOD stuff.
