Here it goes:
1. I hiked all of Eighteen Mile Creek at the age of 17 with my best friend in July. We climbed cliffs, made rafts out of bamboo to float our gear and swim in deep water when there was no trail to walk. It took two days and we each told our parents that we were spending the weekend camping with the other's family. Very stupid, now that I look back on it.
2. When I was 19, I organized a creek cleanup to rid it of some of the garbage. We found an archaeological site (part of the war of 1812 was fought in my hometown) and I was in charge of it with a professional archaeologist. We also found some fantastic fossils that we donated to museums.
3. I went to school in Europe when I was a teen to study opera. I sang in Italy (northern cities) and Vienna. Today I sing to my children and for my husband.
4. I set my desk on fire twice during chemistry and also inadvertently made a stink bomb during a lab while attempting to create a pineapple scent. During a parent conference, the teacher suggested that I watch the labs instead of participating. My parents agreed and I was thrilled (to this day I still cannot balance an equation).
5. I posed nude for an artist twice. Once for a dear friend in high school (it was tastefully done and got him into a great college) and once for Spencer Tunick. That photo was seen in the US, Europe and Japan. My MIL still has no idea that I did this...and I can't believe I told you. Just don't tell my MIL. It would be shock she'd never recover from.
