ok.. so i am sooo sick of people always saying Breast is Best! i know the statistics but i disagree.. i believe that feeding your child is the best.. i dont feel we should be bashed because we formula fed our children.. my firstborn Analiese is 18 months tomorrow and she was formula fed and she is the happiest most energetic child who is bonded to me very very well.. and she after 3 months was strictly formula fed.. i am very very proud of myself for having a formula fed baby.. she is wonderful and loves me to death. :) my second born is 5 months and she is breast fed.. i stay breastfeeding her because i dont feel like weaning her off bm to formula to milk.. thats too much work. i believe that as long as u feed your child u are a wonderful mom and noone should tell you different. im soo tired of people telling me mothers milk is best or that my formula fed child is artificial because she ate artificial food.. grr... that just totally pisses me off.. i dont enjoy breast feeding and in no way have i bonded with MaKenzie anymore than analiese with a bottle and formula...they are both my children and i love them both and i made sure they were fed whatever way i could... one was formula one is breast.. but both are loved and cared for and fed very very well. so yes i understand statistics say breast is best but in my house with my kids food is best no matter what! thanks for listening and if ya wanna disagree go for it.. lol but its my opinion and im entitled to it.

I agree with you! You are the mom and it is YOUR decision! I didnt breast feed my daughter I was not comfortable with it! I Think it is up to the mother and no one should be judged! They are your kids and you love them and provide for them ! There for you are a good mom!!!

see thats exactly what i think. :) i just get sooo tired of people (even friends who bf) telling me that breast is best or mommys milk is the best.. it gets soo annoying. my analiese is a wonderful 18 month old girl and my makenzie is a wonderful 5 month old girl and they r both doing just fine with or without bm. :) more power to us!

You are entitled to your opinion, but I disagree with you. The reason that breast milk is best, especially at the beginning, is because you are giving your baby all of your antibodies and the best start possible. Breast feeding for one day is better than none, a week is better than one day, etc. However, to be my own devil's advocate, even a formula fed child is going to be healthy with proper love. I have had friends that could not breast feed, no matter how much they wanted to! So she had to formula feed. Does this make her a bad mother, NO! I breast fed all 3 of my children for 17 months. I was fortunate to be able to, it is the best food for your baby. This does not make me better than anyone else, many moms hate breast feeding for many different reasons and if you poor hate into your infant every time you are feeding them, how is this healthy for your relationship? So yes, breast feeding is the best, but there are many alternatives if mothers are not able to breast feed for whatever reason.

I totally agree with you. Just becouse you formula feed doesn't mean your a bad parent. I have to formula babies and one boobie baby. and ALL my kids are very close to me.

shoot.. i dont hate bfing makenzie.. its just not fun and the only reason i do it is because its easier for me right now with an 18 month old who needs me also.. but everyone is entitled to their opinions i just disagree with it being the best choice and all that. :) my gma couldnt bf my mom or her sister because they were allergic to bm... so they hadta have soy formula because they were allergic to milk that didnt make her a bad mom and they had the best food for them... just as my daughter analiese had organic formula that was the best i could give her.. and im very proud of myself as a mother for knowing i had to do what i had to do. :)

It's a personal choice and it's nobody's business what you nourish your babies with. They are your babies, I bf but I don't go around judging those who don't!! I know this is an old post but I just wanted u to know I agree with you, just as long as your babies are gaining weight and they are happy that's all that matters!
