I had one on my first marriage.  I'm glad to get out of that one.  She was the MIL from hell!!!! The son/mother relationship was toooooooo scary!!!!

ME TOO ME TOO!  My ex-mother in law was so judgmental and mean sometimes, but then sometimes she was so nice.  I never knew what was going to come out of her!

Sad thing is, her son is a total jackass-moron-fool (will soon have 3 kids by different women, the 3rd one is only half way though) and she totally sticks up for his dumb ass.  He is 30, just married the third woman whom he's only known for 9 months, and can't survive without her paycheck and his mom STILL helping!!!  And his mom is the smart one?

My MIL now is a very wonderful person.  THANK GOD.

yes I have one of those and she lives near you in Quincy. My husband was married 3 times before me. after we were married she came down and first thing she said was" I gave all his other wives wedding presents, I don't need to anymore.     Welcome to the family.    Luckily I don't have to see her hardly at all.

momma...

fortunatly I do not have this problem. I was scared watching those lifetime movies where the son would do anything for his mother and crazy stuff but no my MIL and I get along really good and she was a young mom too so we have alot in common, I am sorry you all have to deal with a difficult MIL. Best of luck
