In the days of instant gratification, we can't wait long enough to allow a movie star to blossom. They're either hot, or they're not. Heath Ledger had a chance-- but he was taken away too soon, especially considering the Oscar buzz about his "Dark Knight" performance. Will Smith makes pretty good movies, but he's pretty much written off as the "the token black guy" in Hollywood. Harrison Ford is "too old." So is Morgan Freeman, Meryl Streep, and Susan Sarandon. It's a shame-- the American public wants"throwaway" stars, to match all the other disposable stuff.
