Every time I go to Knitty, I drool, I covet, I MUST LEARN TO KNIT so that I can make these wonderful things!!! I know the knit stitch and the purl stitch but that's about it. I think I need a mentor (and uh, free time, and no small children impaling themselves on my needles).
Here we go, Drool-a-thon!

[I have a thing for stuffed invertebrates!]
Comments:
those stuffed invertebrates look like the crab thing on the Futurama cartoon (from the makers of the Simpsons). I can't think of his name. I'm too tired.
I really wanna learn to knit, too. My sister knows and was just showing off this cute baby blanket she just finished. I just don't have the patience or time to learn right now.
The skirt is amazing! Paige just learned how to knit. She is making a blanket for her bed. I don't have the patience though.

I want to learn to knit too. I have a friend who said she'd teach me, but she has three kids under 5 and I've got a very busy 21 month old. When are we going to have time to sit quietly and knit???
I'm thinking about starting a bi-weekly date night with her, so we can visit and I can learn to knit. We'll have to enlist the dad's to take on the children.... what a genius idea! I must go call her now....
