As most of you know, I'm a gardening freak and growing in my freakishness year by year, lol.  What started as a back-of-the-garage experiment has now taken over my entire side yard, lol.  I thought I'd update you all on my pride 'n joy with pics :).

Here's last year's side garden... a study in minimalism, LOL:

Here is the extended garden this year:

Here's the girls doing some lounging weeding:

Here are some shots of the garden taken today - please excuse the need for the lawn mowing, lol... Mike'll get to that when he's "darn good and ready", LOL:

full garden shot

Pepper plants with marigolds in the back (which is actually the front, lol)

 A baby pepper :)

Either cherry or grape tomatoes - the boys mixed up my little labels on the plants before I planted them so we'll all be surprised when we find out what plant is what, lol.   All tomato varieties look the same when they're three inches tall, LOL.

I don't know why my cucumbers refuse to grow right, lol.

Either a Big Boy or an Early Girl tomato... again, the boys messed with my labels, lol....

Another full garden shot... different angle... like our boat?  Needs work, lol.

My flagpole marigolds with impatiens :)

sunflower1229, I hear ya... Mother Nature can be so freaky when it comes to gardeners, lol.  Too much of one thing, not enough of the other and never the same two years in a row... hopefully it dries up for you soon!

HannahandSarah, thanks!

I think the little tomatoes are grape, they look more elongated than round. We picked our first cherry tomato today. Yummy. We had beans and broccoli, but the bunnies didn't leave us any. lol

Good job Char!  I planted some maters out back & the dogs  trampled  2 plants. So, I'll have to see if they live! lol   I liked the grass  clippings idea.   I will use that next year.

Thanks, guys!  Lol, Michelle - I'm surprised we haven't had much bunny damage this year - I was going to put up fencing but it was pretty costly so I decided not to, but I haven't lost a thing to bunnies yet, lol (knock on wood, lol).

JC, I did lose one marigold to some animal traipsing through the front of the garden, lol.  I'm hoping the others bush out enough to conceal it, lol.  Next year I'm planting the flowers more randomly so one dying won't screw up the symmetry, lol.
