OK, so we have been looking at buying a new minivan. So this morning, I had to go down to the dealership about an hour away and look at one that the salesman had told us about. It took forever to get the kids dressed b/c they wouldn't stop fighting, running around, ignoring me, getting their clothes wet, etc. Finally I loaded up the kids, took my van and vacuumed and washed it, and made the trip there. I don't like salesmen in the first place, so I went to go see the van before he knew I was there. And of course I couldn't find it! So I went to the office and called him. He came out and told me where it was and said he would be there in a few minutes. So I go look at it, and it just confirmed my original suspicions.....that our salesman was a moron. I didn't like the color, the air was only in the front instead of having "zoned" air, and it didn't even have cruise control. I didn't even know they made vehicles without cruise anymore! So I go back to the van to find that my daughter has applied mascara to my son's entire body, head to toe. And that's when I discover, also, that in my rush out of the house this morning, I didn't grab any diapers OR wipes! So I called my sister who was in town and she had bottled water and a towel to clean him up. So my mom sat in the van with the kids the rest of the time. After almost an hour, my salesman had still not bothered to show up, and we were HOT and hungry. So we left and went to eat. DH called and found out that the salesman didn't show and he hit the roof. He called the salesman and had a few things to say to him, then called the sales manager and told him a few things too. (I love when he stands up for me!) So the sales manager said come back and he would make sure I was taken care of. So I went back and got a wonderful salesman who even helped with my kids this time! So we walked across the parking lot to look at the van that I really liked. And just as we get there, it starts pouring down rain!!! OF COURSE!!! So all of the vans except one were locked so he had us jump into that one and he ran to go get the keys to drive us back to the front. So he finally comes back while my kids are acting like wild injuns all over the van. And of course, the battery on the van is dead. (Brand new van, and the battery is dead.) So he has to go BACK to the office to get keys to the van I want and he finally gets us back in to the office. So all I had to do was show him my van to trade in, show him the one I wanted, and then DH would take care of the rest. OK, great. So I saw a lady I knew outside (it had quit raining) and stopped to talk to her before I left. And spent most of the time fussing at my daughter to stop splashing in the water puddles. Then she comes walking up to me, putting her dress down. I very quickly realized that she just freakin peed on the sidewalk in front of the dealership office!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, my daughter knows how to pee outside and it has never been an issue before. And if we are not at home, she always tells me when she needs to go. But not this time!! I just had to laugh to keep from crying. Anyway, at least it ended well......before I made it home, DH called to tell me that we go sign the papers on my new minivan on monday!!!!!!!!! Whoohoo!!!!!!!!!!! So I will now have the 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SE.....And I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
