Me & my babys daddy first got together last year,when we were 17, but we have known each other longer. He is my step-cousin whom I've known for 10 years....

We have always liked each other, but he thought a goth girl like me wouldn't go out with a boy like him... so we did start going out & decided we wanted to get married once we were 18.....

Everyone always said we would make it, we had the perfect relationship, just so perfect exeactly what we both wanted!!!

I'm not the type of girl who would do something without thinking about conceqences first.....

We both decided since he was going to the Marines next year (this year) , right now actually....that after several long talks we wanted a child togther....because we love each othe so much, knew we were ready & wanted kids anyway I told him that if anything happened to him, I wanted to know I still have a part of him with me.......so he would know that he has a part of him still here if something, Happened!!!! Which I pray doesn't!!!! God keep him safe!!!

I'm happy to say we had our son June 27, me & my Marine got married & he supports our child!!! We couldn't be happier!!!

I just wanted to say that I hate people who give me the "look" or try and act like I made a mistake or that there better than me just cause I'm 18 with a kid.....

I know when they stare they see a skinny 18 year old goth girl alone with a baby and start thinking all kinds of things.....

My response is.....

Yes, I'm 18 with a baby, look like I did before I was pregnant , HAPPILY MARRIED & I DON'T have to worry, anyone that KNOWS me & my husband knows how faithful & loyal we are to each other, making a great living and rasing our wonderful child.....

And they expect me to feel bad about that....

People that wanna look & go " Look another girl that got knocked up for being irrespnsible, raising a kid all by herself & probably had her parents pay for everything and take care of her kid cause she doesn't know how!!!

Well your wrong, WE PLANNED TO HAVE A BABY, WE payed for EVERYTHING----WE DO know how to take care of our child & we spend more time if not all with our baby AND LOVE IT!!!

I feel so bad for any teen mom that gets that has to deal with rude people like that & has thing hard for them & REALLY is a good mom.... I just want all other teen moms to know that they don't deserve that!!! People don't know what your situation maybe & if your a good mom then thats all that matters....

Now going through what you have and seeing these looks. Can you honestly say that you havent looked at others your age a little younger and a little older the same way? When i was 19 married, prengant and both of us in the military i got the same looks. It didnt help my daughter has brown hair, brown eyes and i am a blonde haired blue eyed vixen. When my husband was around i got comments asking if i was the sitter and looks like i was a mistress or i was the new woman taking care of his kids. Now looking back. It was hard, i would tell any one in my same shoes to wait, it hasnt ruined my life. It has enriched it, but how many other ways could i have enriched my life for me and for my future children. I dont know that all those looks are negative, some of them are people looking at them selves when they were the same age doing the same thing, some of them are probably your style of dress, and others may just be that most men and women militlary or not are not mature enough to have a child that young. To have a supportive, loving, caring, and stable marriage to bring a child into. Most people that age are still so selfish and young they choose to have children to be loved. Dr Phil did say it best that the worst reason you can have a baby for is to have a baby with the baby already having a job. If your husband dies in war, you baby already has a job and that is to fill the void. Hopefully that never happens, but the only reason people should be having kids is just to have them.

Dont let the looks get you down, every one gets them for one reason or another. Now that i am older and my kids look more like me, i now get the whole "omg her kids are half black" looks. Let me tell you how much more fun those are.
