I am so angry and  frustrated with the whole system!!! I don't understand how they can not put the welfare of the Children  first above the rights of the parents. Cassidy's biological mother has been addicted to drugs and alcohol, since she was 15 years old.  How many chances does a person get before they totally destroy their children's lives. Cassidy has a 5 year old sister Hailey, that was born in prison in California, while Cassidy was living with us. The CPS case worker has not returned any of my calls and I am so frustrated. All my husband and I want to do is to provide a safe and loving home for Cassidy, that is free of drugs, alcohol, and abuse.  Hailey has a grandmother in California that could take her and raise her in a loving home. Cassidy, on the other hand, will go into the foster care system and be lost until she is 18.Cassidy and Hailey could keep in contact and see each other as often as they would like, if Cassidy was with us. But "NO" the system is broken and there is not a chance in hell that it will be fixed. So much for protecting the innocent children!!!
